Beyond Boating
As EHM gets set to Launch another Season, we’re always asked “What’s New”? The short answer is lots! New boat lines (Rossiter, Stanley, Porter by Stormer), new Yamaha Outboards, new Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) offerings, new sales associate James Gibson joined our team this past January, new upgrades to the facility, new website (coming soon) and more! And although “What’s New” is always fun to talk about lets take a minute to ask “What’s the Same”?
Our core values haven’t really changed since Pete and Scott set out to redefine EHM’s business model over 20 years ago.
1) Since 1994 we have focused on representing the #1 quality leader in each marine segment, most operations compromise on good or better offerings, we chose only the best.
2) We focused on building up our service team of highly trained techs (currently 6 of them) to cater to the needs of our customers, both in season when you need us most and in the off season for customers choosing to perform valuable preventative service work, hoping to minimize the chance of downtime in-season.
3) Be accessible! It’s our opinion that the owners of a business should have “both hands on the wheel” and be accessible to our customers when it counts (in Season). Of course you’ll likely spot Pete on the slopes in the winter and Scott off motorcycling in the spring and fall, but you’ll find them both on the water at EHM in season.
4) Reward those who reward us, with great service. If you trust us enough with your purchase or choose to reward us with your dockage and storage, then we consider you in “our circle” and we’ll do everything we possibly can, to offer you outstanding customer service. Whether it be a new Sea-Doo, a Mercury Powered Boston Whaler,  a Volvo Powered Cobalt. or a Yamaha powered Rossiter, we’ve invested heavily in our techs to be able to solve your problem.and usually in less than a week’s turnaround.
5) When in doubt, all our staff know to refer to the Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated.
So while we’re always keen to share what’s new, sometimes the most import news is what we haven’t changed.

From the Service Department:
Spring Launch
What a long winter, sure glad that signs of spring are finally here! All thoughts are now to getting back out on the water that we all love. We are closely watching long term weather forecasts in an effort to ensure launching begins as soon as possible despite a record cold winter and very heavy ice conditions.
Could you please fill out the Spring Launch Sheet and return it by email or fax so that we can get Spring Cleaning and Services organized. The Estimated date of arrival is used for our cleaning schedule. We cannot guarantee any launch dates due to the late launch!
For any boat service questions please contact Chris and for any Sea-Doo related service questions please contact Sue.
Technician Training
Not only was our shop busy with winter work but the technicians were heavily committed to weeks of manufacture service school training, including Tay getting his BRP certification, the rest of the technicians completing certification or recert for Mercury Optimax and advanced troubleshooting, Mercruiser drives and transmissions, DTS and Smartcraft, full systems certification, Volvo drives and Raymarine electronics updates. Wow, this is a huge time investment but worth it to help keep you running all summer long.
Josh Charboneau
Meet Josh Charboneau
Josh is one of our 6 key technicians. Josh Charboneau has been in the marine industry for 7 years, the last 3 with Ed Huck Marine. With an avid interest in anything mechanical, Josh got his start watching and working along side his father who restored cars as a sideline. Once he realized the joy of boating, Josh attended Georgian College’s Marine Technician course, and began working in the field of his new passion. Josh’s preferences of working on later model, technologically advanced powertrains made him a natural fit at EHM.
Sea-Doo Department
From the Sea-Doo Department:
Spring is finally in the air and we are as excited to get Sea-Dooing as you!
As always if we winterized your Sea-Doo in the fall, spring commissioning is no charge. We perform battery charging and installation, engine start up, visual inspections for loose, damaged or missing parts, lubrication as needed, we check for leaks and make sure your machine is all set for another season on the water. Fire off a quick email to Sue or call 613-659-3408 to schedule your launch appointment now. See you on the water!
Coming this Season
Coming this Season
Some of our work this season will include gas dock boathouse refurbishment, and of course the construction of our 25,000 square foot heated indoor storage facility. We are working on scheduling a boater party, a Sea-Doo Ride for Dad and for the first time hosting a professional Bass Tournament featuring 100 of Canada’s top bass teams. Keep on eye on our summer events website page for more info.
Safe and happy boating!
