Looking back on Summer. |
The change of seasons is always bittersweet for me. It felt like just weeks ago we were launching with the promise of a new Summer full of activities ahead to enjoy. |
Well, Labour day has now come and gone and Haul out is in full swing. Last week, my Wife Heather and I took a moment over morning coffee to reflect on what we remember best of the 16 weeks that passed too quickly as it always does. Common to all our fondest memories was the boating. |
Picking up friends in Brockville to run them up-River, for dinner, introducing Heather’s Ottawa Co Workers to the River for the very first time, taking our North Carolina friends and kids out for a day of swimmingall enjoyed in the Cockpit of a Cobalt, Boston Whaler or Tiara for the day. What’s remarkable is that after a lifetime of boating on the River the enthusiasm remains. |
Here’s to your Summer Boating memories and the anticipation of Spring 2015. Thanks for helping make 2014 a great boating Season! |

The Porter 21 Reports for Duty |
One of the fun projects Scott has been working on this fall is “The Stormer 21”. |
“One of our customers lives in Holland and brought Stormer Boat company to our attention. One thing led to another and the result is a new kind of boat that’s been created specifically for the Ontario Islander market.” Think of the Porter 21 as the perfect All-Weather Pick-Up, ready to handle all of your chores. More details to follow but we’ll have the prototype at the Toronto Boat Show for closer inspection. |

Welcome James Gibson |
This fall, we’re excited to announce a new addition to the EHM sales team. James has decided to move downriver to Rockport from River Rat Marine, where he looked after sales operations for the Kehoe’s. |
James will join Don and Scott and is eager to meet new and familiar River faces at the Toronto Boat Show in January. James has an extensive resume in assisting and coaching customers with purchase decisions and we’re excited that he’s decided to join the EHM team. Welcome. |
